Alpha Version 1.0.15

Android 10 · iOS 15 Latest

Changes since the previous build (Android 9 / iOS 14).

The centre of gravity this update is sockets: a stone now wants an empty socket, and cutting that socket is on you. Alongside it, PvP gains battle protection.

Sockets: cut the socket first, then set the stone

You can no longer set a stone straight into an item. The item needs an empty socket.

  • The socket is cut by the Socketing Awl — 4,000 gold + 25 valorstones.
  • An item takes 3 sockets at most.
  • Cut but empty sockets show as an outlined square in the inventory and at the blacksmith. You no longer learn that an item has a socket by trying to set a stone into it.

The awl and the chisels do different jobs:

ToolPriceWhat it does
Socketing Awl4,000 gold + 25 valorstonesCuts a new socket
Rough Chisel500 goldFrees a set stone — the stone breaks
Runesmith's Chisel2,400 gold + 10 valorstonesDoes the same, and gives the stone back

A chisel empties the socket, it does not close it — you can set another stone in its place afterwards. Take the cheap route and you lose the stone; that is the whole difference between the two.

The Alchemist is now two shops

  • Goods — potions.
  • Supplies — tools: the awl and the chisels. The chisels the blacksmith used to sell moved here.

Buying a tool opens a quantity picker rather than going through on a single tap, and how many you already own is written over the artwork.

Battle protection

Five tiers of protective shield are sold in Battle → Market for valorstones. While a shield is up, nobody can attack you.

The tiers: Iron Protection, Bronze Protection, Gilded Protection, Hallowed Protection and, at the top, Protection of the First Light.

Attacking ends your protection immediately — and that is written on the purchase screen before any currency leaves your hands.

Blacksmith

  • A weapon's damage range now sits on its own line above the stats, with how much the upgrade raises both ends of the range next to it.
  • Every item carries the avatar of the champion wearing it in its corner.
  • Items that have reached +20 no longer appear in the upgrade list.

Inventory

  • The bag is priced in a single pass. It opens noticeably faster.
  • In item details the header and the footer stay put; only the middle scrolls.

Guild: The Mint

The keep's gold-bonus room is now called The Mint and has artwork of its own. It used to be the Vault, which was nearly a synonym for the Treasury Room — yet the two do different jobs:

  • Treasury Room returns part of the pot from a war you lost.
  • The Mint increases the gold you earn out in the world — dungeon, territory, quests and the Mine.

Fixes

  • Dropped shields show their block chance on the card.
  • Items bought from Valor's Boon can be sold again.

Also

  • The Lightforge button on the home screen carries its own icon.
  • The character name under the username in the friends list is gone; the level badge on the right already says which champion it is.
