Alpha Version 1.0.24

Android 19 · iOS 24 Latest

Changes since the previous build (Android 18 / iOS 23).

In this build the game has sound: every shop, the bag and the fights have their own, and the village, the dungeon and combat each play their own music. The enchantment system was rewritten: items carry enchantments line by line, as in Metin2, and two new scrolls let you add and redraw them. Four resistances entered combat; past floor 25 every boss strikes with the element of its own realm. The Lightforge turned from floating islands into a tree. Legendary items split into six legendary sets, and rarity now rises with your level. The Daily Blessing window was redone. The crash on returning to the village after a fight is fixed. The part we need most is “What we would like you to look at” at the very end.

Sound and music

  • The game has sound now. The blacksmith’s anvil, the shops, the bag, the mounts, the Lightforge, and the blows and spells of every fight (fire, frost and void each their own) all have it.
  • The music changes with where you are: one in the village, one in the dungeon and the realms, one in combat. A short motif plays on victory and on defeat.
  • Sound effects and Music can be turned off separately in Profile.
  • The game does not stop your own music while you are listening to it. If an iPhone is on silent, the game is silent too.

Enchantments were rewritten

  • Enchantments are lines now. Each line is one of eight kinds: Critical Strike, Haste, Mastery, Versatility and the four resistances (fire, frost, bleed, stun). No item carries two lines of the same kind.
  • How many lines is down to chance. At most: Common 2, Uncommon 3, Rare and Epic 4, Legendary 5. Valor items carry all eight. An item can also drop with none. The higher the rarity, the larger the values on the lines.
  • Two scrolls, both at the Alchemist:
    • The Enchanting Scroll (10 Valor Stones) redraws every line on an item; the number of lines stays the same.
    • The Reinforcing Scroll (2,500 gold) adds a new line, up to what the rarity allows.
    • Drag the scroll onto the item in the bag, or press ADD / CHANGE on the item’s page.
  • The items you hold kept their number of lines; the kinds of line were redrawn with the new values.
  • Forged items at the Artisan come with a random upgrade between +1 and +9 and with random enchantments. Cast items come with no enchantments and no plus.
  • Four resistance stones: Fire Opal (fire), Aquamarine (frost), Bloodstone (bleed) and Topaz (stun). They come in six rarities, are found on the shelves and in loot, and are set into item sockets.
  • Item names got simpler. Names no longer carry the enchantment: “Shortsword”, “Sapphire Circlet”. Rings, amulets and earrings lean toward the stone in their picture: an amethyst ring rolls a Critical Strike line more often.

Resistances and elemental bosses

  • Four resistances entered combat: fire, frost, bleed and stun.
    • Fire and frost blows, burn and bleed damage, and chill are all reduced by resistance.
    • Stun and freeze are shrugged off entirely when resistance holds, and the screen says “Resisted!”
  • Past floor 25 every boss strikes with the element of its own realm:
    • in the volcano and the scorched lands, a breath of fire;
    • in the ice, a frost claw that pierces armour and chills;
    • in the ruins, a stunning wave.
  • The cards show the boss’s element: on quest, realm and dungeon cards the boss’s element stands as a badge. The bleed badge is now a drop of blood.
  • Resistance comes from four places:
    • the Lightforge’s four resistance crystals;
    • the mount you ride (each mount carries one resistance, the Drake of the First Light all four; only the one you ride counts);
    • the enchantment lines on your items;
    • the resistance stones.
    • Each resistance tops out at 50%.
  • The Attributes tab got simpler. Each row has its name and its value. What it does sits behind ⓘ. All four resistances show here too.

The Lightforge was rebuilt

  • The Lightforge is now a tree of floating islands under a living sky. The heart (the First Light) is in the middle, four runes at four roots, leaves on the branches. Stars, planets, a galaxy and a black hole turn in the sky.
  • Each class sees its own main rune. Mages see Intelligence, warriors see Strength. Gold spent on a rune that used to do nothing for you was returned by mail.
  • Runes are still bought with gold. The heart is still bought with gold too, and waits on the level of the four runes. Ambition and Luck wait on the gems on their branches. A leaf says on its face what it is waiting for.
  • Critical Strike, Haste, Mastery and Versatility became the leaves of the tree. Your numbers did not change.
  • Ambition now adds gold from quests, realms, the dungeon and the Delve. Tiger’s Eye makes quest lives refill faster.

Legendary sets and rarity by level

  • Legendary items are six legendary sets: the Ash King, the Dawn Drake, the Crystal Queen, the Venom Fiend, the Blood Moon and the Nameless Shadow. Every piece carries the set’s name: “Staff of the Ash King”.
  • Each set drops in a level band: the Ash King at 1, the Dawn Drake and the Crystal Queen at 10, the Venom Fiend at 25, the Blood Moon at 40, the Nameless Shadow at 60. Lower rarities drop in the same band with the same look.
  • Rarity rises with your level. At low levels the shelves and loot mostly give Common and Uncommon. No Epic before level 5, no Legendary before level 10. The Artisan’s Forged section sells only Rare until level 10. The Alchemist’s flasks wait on your level too. Valor’s Boon is unchanged.
  • The names of stones and Valor flasks match the rarity word on the cards: “Epic Amethyst”, “Valor Topaz”.

The Daily Blessing was redone

  • The window was redesigned. Today’s reward is shown large, and the week sits below it as a road of seven stops.
  • Day 7 now gives a Reinforcing Scroll and gold (the armour is gone).
  • “CLAIM 2X” really is double now: gold, gems and the scroll are doubled. On flask days the ad raises the flask to Epic; the button says so.
  • If your bag is full, the reward item is sold and comes to you as gold.

Smoother and faster

  • A fight’s background is drawn once. Fights are smoother on Android.
  • The Territories map is smoother while panning.
  • Screens ask the server less. The guild, the arena and the quest board open faster, and the game uses less data.

Fixes

  • The app crashed on returning to the village after a fight. It happened especially on phones like the iPhone 13, after several dungeon floors in a row. Fixed.
  • Adventure no longer resets when you come back from a fight: it opens on the section you left (quests, dungeon or realms).
  • The clock, lightning, sword and star icons now line up with the text. Countdowns no longer shift left and right every second.
  • The screen reader reads Valor Stone the way it is written on screen.

Not finished yet

  • Heroes are still drawn with the same silhouette in combat; armour does not show.
  • On the first entry into the dungeon after opening the app, a short hitch remains, once.

What we would like you to look at

  1. Returning to the village: play several dungeon floors or quests in a row and come back to the village. Does the app crash? Which phone are you using?
  2. Sound and music: are the sounds and the music balanced? Is there anything that bothers you, is too loud, or repeats? Do the switches in Profile work?
  3. Enchantments: do the lines on newly dropped items make sense? Try both scrolls: do they work by dragging and by button? If you see an item that lost a line or whose value looks odd, write down its name.
  4. Resistances: past floor 25, are the elemental bosses balanced? Do you see the “Resisted!” message? Do the resistances in Attributes rise correctly with crystals, mount, enchantments and stones?
  5. The Lightforge: is the new tree clear? Do the locked leaves and the heart say what they are waiting for? Is the screen smooth, does the phone get hot?
  6. Rarity and sets: what do you see on the shelves and in loot at your level? If a legendary piece dropped, write its name and your level.
  7. Daily Blessing: is the new window clear? Does “CLAIM 2X” really give double? Does the scroll arrive on day 7?
  8. Smoothness (especially on Android): are the fights and the Territories map smooth?
