Version 1.0

Android 9 · iOS 14 Latest

Changes since the previous test build (Android 8 / iOS 13).

This build largely rebuilds the item and stat system. Every piece in your inventory has been recalculated under the new rules — the numbers will look different, and that is expected.

Affixes rebuilt

What an item grants now follows a clear ladder set by its rarity:

RarityAffixes
Common1 affix
UncommonSingle affix (2×) or double affix (1× + 1×)
RareSingle affix (4×) or double affix (2× + 2×)
EpicSingle affix (8×) or double affix (4× + 4×)
LegendaryAlways 3 stats, one named power, 12×
ValorAlways 4 stats, one named power, 20×

Legendary and Valor items carry no prefix or suffix pair — a single name carries three or four stats at once: of the Dragon, of the Ancient King, of the Moon Warden, of the Starhunter, and, on Valor, of the First Light.

Every item you already own was re-rolled onto the new ladder. Prices now follow how many stats a piece grants.

Armor is no longer a stat

Armor is the base value of the piece. Weapons, rings, necklaces and earrings have no armor; their stats come only from affixes.

Armor values were pulled onto the same scale as attributes — an item's armor used to reach up to 15× the Strength sitting next to it, and is now around 2×. It is written on the item card without a +, because it is not a bonus: it is what the piece is.

Weapons deal their real damage

A weapon's damage is now actually applied in combat. Previously a weapon only mattered through the Strength it carried.

Damage is a range rather than a fixed number — something like 36,345 – 47,248 — and the engine rolls within that range on every hit. The damage line on a hero's Attributes tab now counts the weapon too.

Shop rules

  • Legendary items appear only in Valor's Boon. The daily offer rotates between Valor and Legendary.
  • Forged (Artisan) sells Epic at most, and its epic rate was lowered.
  • Merchant, Alchemist and Valor's Boon now show a restock timer.

Guild war

  • A war now runs 30 minutes.
  • Matchmaking can be stopped. If no opponent is found it ends by itself after 10 minutes, and the gold staked into the pot returns to the vault.
  • The fighter picker shows real stats. It used to show the base values of a character's starting class — a level 349 hero was listed at 400 Strength.
  • Fixes to the donation page, your own fallen members, guild icons, and horizontal map dragging on Android.

Item detail screen

  • World of Warcraft layout: item level → type (Sword / Axe / Mace) → damage → stats.
  • Full numbers. The detail page now reads 38,412 instead of 38k.
  • Dropped items use the same layout on their detail page.
  • Item names at the blacksmith match the inventory and the shop.

Blacksmith

  • Item slots lock while an upgrade is running.
  • Which stat grew, and by how much, is written in the item's own box with a green +.
  • Catch-up is now a stepper (as in Delve) — you cannot type a target above your character's level.
  • It says "upgrade" instead of "strike", and the burn warning no longer says "with 0 stones" when no stone is fitted.

Season and ranking

  • The rank on the season card and the rank on the leaderboard now agree. The card counted only players who had attacked that week while the board counted everyone, so the two showed different numbers.
  • Season rewards follow leaderboard order. You do not have to have attacked that week — if you sit still, the players attacking you are already pushing your score down.
  • Searching for your own rank on the leaderboard jumps to the right row (in PvP too).

Territory bosses fixed

After the item changes, territory bosses became unbeatable — we measured it, and all six testers were losing 0/20 on the second and third slots. Stranger still, the strongest player got the worst result.

The cause: the boss scaled off the player's power score, but 57–82% of that score was armor and weapon damage — neither of which gives you HP. The boss, meanwhile, turned that whole number into attributes and therefore health. The better your gear, the faster the boss's health outgrew yours.

The boss now scales off your attributes. The three slots are easy / medium / hard in order, and all three are beatable. Gold and experience rewards did not change at all.

Also

  • A red badge appears when a new item arrives in your inventory.
  • Heroes away on an adventure are shown correctly on the Delve page.
  • The chat filter no longer counts innocent words like "as" as profanity.
